The Latest on the State Soccer Controversy

Ok, here's the latest on the high school World Cup matches soccer mixup.  Boys soccer coaches from Cibola, Las Cruces and Hobbs each appealed to the NMAA this morning as to why they thought they should be the one to advance to the state soccer semifinals.  Each school ended with a 1-1 record in pool play and there was some confusion as to the tiebreaker.  The NMAA appeals committee ruled the entire Pool C needs to be replayed.  They would replay the matches in Pool C this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  The boys Class 5A semifinals and finals would be delayed one week.  The ruling must be voted on and approved by the Board of Directors later today.  Stay tuned for more details.
